Men's Prisons

In 1995 Bobby & Patsy Mecado met Pastor Bob & Sharon, and Patsy did the 2nd NWC Women’s Retreat. The Mecado Ministry asked NWC to start ministering at McLaren Hall L.A. County Youth Facility, then Chino State Prison, and it just moved forward non-stop from there.

God has really developed the Prison Ministry without us even really starting with a vision. He was just looking for a few good men, and then women, too. We made ourselves available. God started the movement, and now we can see the vision.

The most important part about this ministry is the praise reports. We have so many prison praise reports, we should write a book, “From Prison to Praise”. Many people attending our church are on parole, off parole, plus all the praise from those still in JAIL.

Our Prison Ministry team of men and women go out to visit as groups to over 12 different prisons, 10 men’s and 2 women’s. We do one on one, group in Chapels, and even take singers, bikes, and Bibles. We sing, show, and pass out God’s Word whenever God leads us to go. Thank You, Jesus for the privilege!

We have men living in our Church being discipled, and hopefully will become future spiritual leaders, and we have our Prison Writing Ministry. God has truly blessed New Wine Church. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. We’re proud to be part of the labor team. Amen.
