My name is Robert E. Nixon and my wife's name is Sharon. I would like to let you know a little bit about myself and my wife. We have known each other our whole life, we grew up in the same town, on the same street. We went to the same schools. We were friends, but she was 3 years younger and that made a big difference until I was about 23 and she was 21. We got married, I had a daughter, she had a daughter and then we had a daughter. It was great. I was drinking and doing drugs and that lifestyle led to money problems and for 13 years it was pretty messed up. It was Hell!

We were separated (many times) and going to get a divorce. When one day on November 23, 1983, the day before Thanksgiving, I stopped in my work truck in an alley in Azusa and asked the Lord to come into my life and take over my life, I cried like a baby. I called my wife and said; "I'm going to church on Sunday, do you want to go?" She went. We have been going to church every Sunday now for 26 years and we will be celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary October 16, 2011!

Now, since September 23, 1993, we have been blessed with the privilege to Pastor a church. New Wine Church. Where we share the miracle of God restoring our marriage, our family and then using us in ministry. God has a sense of humor "GOD will use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise" 1 Corinthians 1:27 He used a fool like me! Thank you God!
