The New Wine Church Praise & Worship Team

The P & W Team is a frontline ministry, which means God has chosen us part of the ministry He places at the front of the army as we go into battle (2 Chronicles 20:21).  He uses us to usher in the Holy Spirit to soften and prepare hearts for the message he has given our Pastor for the congregation.  We lead them in song hoping they will join in praise and worship to our Lord and Savior, lifting up their hearts to Him. 

We have become more than a group of musicians and singers, more than a band; we have become a support system for each other…a family of brothers and sisters in the Lord that God brought together for His purpose.  It is a privilege and an honor to use our God given talents for His glory, and to give back to him the gift He so freely gave to us.

Doni (Singer, Alto):

   “I joined the worship team because I truly wanted to be a part of ushering in the Holy Spirit to the congregation.  I felt God’s call during an outreach at Tehachapi prison. I feel it is a privilege and an honor to sing praises to our Lord and Savior.  I get an almost levitating feeling when we are all in harmony and the Holy Spirit is in our midst. The New Wine Worship Team is my family and they have prayed and held me up through some difficult times this past year.  The worship team has been a shining light and given me something important to strive for and work towards to become a better servant for Jesus.  He has given me so much and I long to give back even if it is only a small portion in comparison to what he has done for me.

Vickie (Singer, 2^nd Soprano): 

I tried out for the Worship Team to conquer fear after not singing for 11 years after trauma to my vocal cords.  That was my plan; to try out and say I did it.  God had different plans.  I am so thankful to come before the Lord to use every gift and talent He has blessed me with.

Candy (Lead Singer): 

“I give God all praise, glory and honor.   I am truly grateful that He is allowing me to use the talent that I for so many years misused in the world, now for His purpose.  I thank Him for the family He has given me and the privilege to lead a completely dedicated and faithful team of brothers and sisters in a work for Him for which He has blessed us. “

Alan (Lead Guitar):

"It is a great honor to play on a stage giving all the glory to God and being a part of a talented team of musicians, using the gift God has blessed me with to usher in the spirit to my church family." 
   
If you believe that God has given you a talent and has truly called you to step up, please pray and then, contact Candy for information about joining the P&W Team.  Joining the Team is a commitment which requires dedication and faithfulness.  Rehearsals are every Monday night at 7:00 p.m.   Band only on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
