Prison Writing Team

In 1995 Pastor Bob asked Mando Rodarte if he could help him answer inmates’ letters, which were not many in 1995. Mando took the letters in faith, and through the Prison Writing Ministry God taught him how to read and write!

After a year of writing, the Lord showed him that through his obedience God would reach those in prison who don’t go to Chapel. They will write to a church that would write to them when no one else will. God continues to show them that He takes a personal interest in their lives. The inmates that are written to tell others about it, and God’s love continues to spread.

Currently 1,528 inmates are being written to, not only in CA, but in Hawaii, throughout the US, and the Philippines. Since 1995 this ministry has written 7,826 letters! For this year through August, they have written 1,057 letters all by hand and the Holy Spirit.

Some of the prisons that are written to have never been visited by us, but the inmates are being discipled through letters. Many of the inmates move around from prison to prison and take with them our name, address, and spiritual tools so they can teach others God’s purpose for their lives. Amen!
